I was not a Z-Bo fan during his Portland days, but he really won me over while with the Grizz. Class act guy that deserves acknowledgement for his contributions.

Them Jailblazer days was crazy back in the day. Some of those guys were like the Bad Boys of the Wild West back then. Crazy enough I was a fan of how some of them play in-spite of their problems. We had three of them come through the Grizzlies. Bonzi Wells, Damon Stoudemire and ZBo. All three guys were solid during their tenure with the Grizzlies. Outside of Bonzi, who was screwed over by Fratello because Fratello used Bonzi's past against him to sit him during game stretches.
Anyways, Zbo had a great career in Memphis and the fans and the city got behind him and showed him tons of respect and love as a result. He was part of the Grit-N-Grind mantra that put the Grizzlies on the map for a few years. Fighters to the end who didn't back down to no one. That's what made Zbo's edges his best art. He will be missed from the game and from the Grizzlies. I hope he will pop up at a Grizzlies game from time to time like Monta Ellis does. One thing about it. ZBo has to be one of the most embraced and well-respected Grizzlies players that has don the uniform and rep the city well.
Thanks Zbo!
