Time: 4:00 PM
Where: FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN
Trivia: This will mark the first time in MLK Jr. Day Celebration Game that the Grizzlies will be playing a team in back to back consecutive special MLK Jr. Gameday Celebration against the Pelicans.

I had a feeling after the way they played vs. the Cavs the other night that they were going to lose this game. Getting owned by Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram did not bold well for the Grizzlies. Also getting parked on the perimeter and shooting 9-33 from the field did not help the cause for the Grizzlies. Also Dillon Brooks record took it's first loss for games that he scores over 20pts. 12-1 if I'm not mistaken.

Nah, they just couldnt miss. Their 2nd Quarter was outstanding. Our defense made Melli look like Larry Bird. :banghead:

It took Morant 3 quarters to figure out their Defense. Not to mention, I still dont understand why they take so many contested running threes. Many times they misunderstand the term pace, I know we want a quick pace but not at all costs.

I mean, we were not doing it that bad in the 1st Q when we threw the ball so many time to JV and JJJ. When they started playing double D, they stopped doing it.

Ingram got 2 early fouls. From there, just keep going. Double D will free our shooters or our cutters.... But then again, we started to pick n roll. Very well defended by the pelicans btw.

Ja seems to try and get everyone else going the first three quarters and then makes things happen for himself in the 4th. Wouldn't mind him being a little more aggressive from the start of games. NOP just couldn't miss there though we gave them quite a few good looks. Props to our guys for not giving up and trying to make a run at the end of the 4th. On to the next one.
