JJJ went off in the 1st half on both ends of the court. Don't get why we didn't feed him more in the 2nd half but oh well. Morant again not doing much other than getting others involved the first three quarters and then turning it on in the 4th. Melton, DB, and Clarke with good games. Anderson deserves to get some of Crowder's minutes. Allen may have irritated his ankle so will have to see if he pops up on the injury report next game.

This fake ass league has no shame. Despite the win, Memphis got killed by another bad whistle. I lost count the amount of times a Piston got to the FT line just because he missed his shot.

I'm trying to understand Jenkins rational. Last game Jonas was playing well but rarely played when it mattered. This game he was playing poorly but Jenkins decided to ride him though he cost Memphis 2 leads with a team high -16, in a double digit win. To be fair to Jonas however, he was fouled plenty, with no calls.

Jaren had a quiet 29pts.

Ja was looking off for most of the game but showed up when It mattered.

Pelicans lost, Spurs lost. Memphis are back in the 8th spot.

I am extremely jealous at how well and how quickly you guys are playing this year.

You guys hit the jackpot keeping the 2019 draft pick and giving up the 2020 pick to Boston instead. A franchise altering-event.

This season has been unprecedented for a rebuilding team. In this case, two in Memphis and OKC. I'm sure that most Memphis fans will tell you that they were not expecting this type of rebuild to happen this fast. To me, the differences has been the blend of having the vets in the mix with the young and upcoming talent. The other difference is the presence of Ja Morant and his energy that's making a huge impact on the Grizzlies. These factors have been beneficial to the Grizzlies so far this season.

The Hawks took a bit of a step back this year. It happens with rebuilding teams. I can attestto that as I also follow the Magic on the regular basis. Thankfully they turned the corner last season. I still have concerns about if they could be getting stuck in mediocrity base on who they have on the roster.

My advice for the Hawks is that they select who they sign on the roster very carefully in the off-season. Getting Teague is a start as he could serve as a vet for Trae. Maybe sprinkle the Hawks with a couple of season vets who are willing to help the Hawks turn the corner in the next season.
