Winners of nine of their past 11 contests, the Grizzlies (22-24) begin a stretch of three games in four nights on Tuesday when they face the Denver Nuggets (32-14) at FedExForum.

Denver has become my measuring stick for this teams progression.

I want this one... bad.

Proud of our guys for putting together a complete game. Denver tried to make a late run in the 4th but we were able to keep them at arms distance the whole time (even with a few hiccups there at the very end).

And JV stopped them scoring twice in a row. Those little battles inside a game that you cannot see in the scorebox neither in the highlights. Great job defending Jokic.

After a horrible game, I was glad to see Marko really focused. Some shots didnt go in but he set a high tone in D. (So did Konchar. Very shy on the offensive end but great intensity in D).

All in all, im glad we are playing like a team. You can feel great chemistry.

One last thing, Dillon Brooks' 1st half. He was unstoppable. Great attacking the rim, good shot selection... I can finally see him becoming a star. He will def get better.

Jonas also scored the big bucket that stopped the Nuggets run that got them to within 11 from down 20. Memphis fail to score there, Denver would have gotten it to within a 3 possession game, with considerable time left.

If not for having to bail out a late shot clock several times, Jonas would have been 11-15 for 23pts in 34 mins, where Jokic put up 25 on 8-16, in 37mins. Jokic is considered one of, if not the best C in the league. Jonas was perceived as a throw away expiring in trade for Gasol, that at the beginning of the year some Memphis fans would have let walk.

On the year.

Jonas - 15 pts / 10.1 rebs / 2 ast (59.4 FG% / 41.3 3pt% / 72.2 FT%) 22 per, 3.5 win shares in 25mins (62.2 eFG%) = 15mil

Jokic - 19 pts / 10.1 rebs / 6.5 ast (50.7 FG% / 32.4 3pt% / 80% FT%) 24.3 per, 6.5 win shares in 32mins (55 eFG%) = 26mil

Make no mistake, Jonas & his physicality is a huge reason why Memphis are #1 & own the paint nightly as a team. Denver & Jokic was no exception - (76 pts in the paint to 22). + 54

3pt shooting & FT's made up most of Jokic's & Denver's production. A team that doesn't normally take many 3's, was relegated to having too I have to assume in part because Murray was out, where they outpaced Memphis (51- 18). - 33 beyond the arc. -9 on the line. Most of those missed FT's for Memphis coming at a critical point in the 4th with Denver making it's run.

I'm vex Murray didn't play, Denver was clearly missing his ability to create for them, which dampens this outcome for me somewhat. I wanted to use this game as a measuring stick but can't be too unhappy coming away with the win.

Give Marko credit, he bounced back with a decent showing off a terrible performance last game. Give the team credit for actively trying to get him going. Basketball, is a game of confidence.

Another 32 assist night, got to love the unselfishness & the way Jenkins has this young team playing.

This is what separates Young & Morant for me. Morant - (7 assists, 6 rebs, 4 stls) in a game he was not needed offensively, with Brooks & Jonas going off for the most part. He doesn't need to pound the ball to contribute to winning.

The only thing separating Memphis from a 500 record is the Knicks, don't let this be a trap game. Respect your opponents at all times.
