Disappointing game so far, but I think we kind of expected it after the trades earlier. We got bumped around in the first half and didn't know how to respond. Early foul trouble for Brooks and TripleJ. and Korkmaz(?) became the second coming of Reggie Miller. I hope we respond next game when we have a full squad again. I believe we will.

It'll be interesting to see how we respond. I have a feeling Crowder and Hill were big parts of refocusing our team when needed, but I have faith in our guys to get their heads right and come out strong.

Memphis.

got.

Bullied.

Lot of size & length on that roster, it's where Morant has struggle most on the year. Shut him down, you pretty much shut down the Grizz offense. Game 1 vs Winslow, Boston, NO's with Ball add Philly & Simmons to the list.

Lack of spacing. Help me out here someone. Memphis take 30+ 3's on any given night, hit or miss but on a night Where a long, defensive team is daring you to shoot, you take 22 attempts?. (Mostly with the game out of reach)

With SImmons bullying Morant the heart of Memphis offense, Anderson & Josh couldn't help out with the secondary playmaking neither, they were only committing weak TO's to compound the issue.

The only good out of this game was the defense that Jonas played in it. I'm not referring to the 4blks neither.

Hate to say it because I love the trades made but without Winslow & Dieng, Memphis young players could have used Crowders & Hills physicality in this one. Either Philly were getting away with excessive contact or Josh is a light weight. The young Memphis team were overpowered by their size & length.

Last but not least, how the **** do you let Korkmaz go off for 34pts on 17 shots ...

The good news is, despite the bad loss, Memphis can beat this team.

Morant played like he was still tweeting with Curry. That steal by Simmons where Ja was talking to the coach carrying it past half court :banghead: pretty much captured his night, which is inevitably Memphis' night.

As you mentioned, when this team panics offensively, they scramble & lose focus.

What do all the teams that have blown this team out have in common - NO's, Boston, Heat & Philly?.

All I can say is Furkan Korkmaz went off like a madman here. I knew he has some capabilities of being a decent player. This was crazy that he scored 34pts in this game. Philly was riding a 4 or 5 game skid before this game was played. With the trade of the vets happened earlier that day, I can see the Grizzlies struggling to get over the move of their former teammates. They have to understand that the NBA is a business and that GMs will do what's best or worse for their teams. Respect that business is business. Players have to play forward for the success of the franchise they represent.
