Winslow is out with a hip injury. Seeing how he fit was one of the top things I was looking forward to this restart. Here's to a speedy and full recovery.

Definitely a shame he's out but for me his injury is more significant than seeing how he fit in.

Ja has struggled all season against bigger stronger guards, including the likes of WInslow self.

Heat game 1 - Ja (-29) 14/4/4 (6 TO's) / Winslow (+22) 27/7/7

Heat game 2 - WInslow out, Memphis W

Philly game 52 - Ja (-14) 15/6/3 (4 TO's) / Simmons (+23) 22/10/4

NO's game 43 - Ja (-7) 5-14 (2 TO's) / No Zion, offense was run through Jrue 36/6, while Ball shut Ja down. Spacing 21/48, 43%

NO's game 49 - Ja (-25) 16/3/1 (2 TO's) / post offense run through Zion. Spacing 15/34 from 3, 44%

Heat, Philly & NO's blow out losses. Winslow, SImmons & Ball's size, strength & length at point neutralized Ja & in turn Memphis' offense, while they also exposed him defensively & Memphis on the perimeter shooting 45% on volume making Jonas a liability to field also. I was thinking Memphis in these rare instances could have countered with running Winslow at point in a potential defensive line up of (WInslow, DB, Josh, Clarke, 3J). While being a defensive unit with 3 lengthy perimeter defenders, it's not void of an offensive punch. If Winslow/DB & Josh were effective enough at containing NO's ability to space the floor, it might have also allowed for Jonas to be effectively used physically on Zion.

Then when you also consider Winslow's defensive potential to help contain the likes of Lebron & Kawahi physically on the wing..

Big loss,

The end of the analysis.
