Tillman, Allen, and I think Melton are available today.

The Grizzlies video dedication to former Grizzlies center Marc Gasol. Well deserved.

The Grizzlies took advantage early on in the first and in spurts of the third quarter. It's clear the Lakers did underestimated the Grizzlies resolve to give them a fight for their win. The Grizzlies gave them one. Had they had more offensive weapons with the team, I could see them handing the Lakers a loss here. However in the fourth, they ran out of gas and mistakes like overcommiting on defense and leaving shooters open will do that as well as second chance points.

Memphis performed well all things considered & while Grizz probably don't win either way, I'm tired of the lopsided whistle.

LA 41 FG made to 39
LA 35 3 pointers made to 33
LA 24 assists to 23
LA 49 rebounds to 50
LA 10 TO's to 11

Pretty even game in all categories, so where's the disparity ?.

Lakers 19 FT's to 8.

With all the physicality in the post on both ends. Gasol, Davis, Morris, Harrell combined for 5 fouls total, in 87 mins of combined playing time while Jonas had 5, in 26 mins. lol

Our guys did well. Bane and Tillman looked good too though they had a couple rookie moments. I'm impressed with Dillon's facilitating. You don't want him as a primary facilitator, but he usually is just looking to score. Nice to seem him potentially adding this to his game.

I will admit that Jonas 5 fouls compared to the Lakers bigs combined 5 fouls is a big disparity. Some calls did get missed here.

I tuned in at the half & in the first 6min of the 3rd Q alone, Gasol got away with 2 non calls, clearing out Jonas with his forearm for rebounds. After Jonas made the first 4 points of the Q for Memphis, I don't know if by design or not but Jenkins pulls him at the 6 min mark.

The offensive hook Jonas got called for, it was Harrell that hooked him first heading into his patented running hook. That deep in the paint who would need to foul in that situation in combination with it being Jonas go to move ?. So after Harrel locks his arm, Jonas is then called for Harrell's foul. Love used to do this in the Cavs/Raps playoff matchups constantly. He'd hook his cover, usually Jonas, then flop for a call & get rewarded for it. Annoying as **** to watch.

My problem is I have OCD & don't miss these things & can't ignore it either. Give me a video to edit & I'll point out all the bad & non calls that took place. Like the Hawks game where Young jumped side ways into Morant at the 4:20min mark of the 2nd Q, Watch the ref on the side line, he called the foul before there was any contact. That's a complete joke.

Memphis most likely weren't going to win this game anyway but I don't think it's a lot to ask for fair competition.

One of the qualities I like about Jonas, is that with all the contact he gets on both ends, he doesn't flop or look for the refs to bail his game out ...
