PG contingency plan

Thinking about the likely upcomping PO and recollecting our problems in the bubble, I wonder would it be prudent for our PO to sign a PG veteran for the PO?
Based on my quick research, I provide you guys with my short-list:
1. Mills
2. MCW
3. Neto
4. Smith
My questions to you are as follows:
1. Do you share this concern?
2. If yes, what would be your short list of potential candidates for buyout in their current teams who we can target?

If Tyus and Ja are healthy then I think we will be fine, but yeah if we lose one of them it's game over (though the passing of our other guys has improved). In theory Winslow should be our 3rd string PG. If he is healthy at some point hopefully we can get a chance to evaluate him as that potential role. If he is hurt again then I'd think he'd be the one to cut in order to sign a different 3rd string PG. Mills probably isn't bought out by SAS assuming that is Patty Mills, but yeah he'd be an awesome get.

Maybe we can give Brandon Knight or Mudiay a chance for a career redemption? I always liked Mudiay's athleticism, but his efficiency wasn't there and I have not checked in on him in a few years. Magette has been solid and deserves a chance from the G League. He is playing excellent basketball right now - much improved.
Edit: Magette's contract would have to have a buyout option, as he is overseas in Turkey. Don't think we could get him while he is under contract.

I was reading a Memphis game thread.
On3 poster says " this is why we need Jonas"
Next poste responds "yeah but he'd hurt the defense"
lol, someone needs to tell poster 2 Pacers have 71 at the half, Sabonis with an easy 22 & 11.

I think JV would have some trouble guarding Sabonis in general, but it isn't like we can do anything to guard him any worse than we did that first half lol. JV would have done just as poorly or better. It is hard to argue he would have hurt our defense and done worse.

Memphis are being out rebounded 24 to 12 & getting muscled in the paint.
too easy for Lamb right now.

I feel like you guys are strong at point with Ja, Jones, Melton, Winslow. Heck even Anderson can handle the rock..
Wouldn't you say Melton is the 3rd string P.G? or is he more if a SG?

Melton and Kyle failed in the burble in the role of the PG backup.

So we have survived minutes better this year with Melton and Anderson both on the court to split initiation duties, but yeah we struggled a lot in the bubble last year when we went that route. Both are really good secondary creators more so than initial creators. Winslow however should be able to fill the role of 3rd string point if we ever actually see him on the court.
