Let's hope Ja turns things around. Maybe going against Zion will help.

It could. Especially with how the sports media did Ja in spite of Zion being out with injuries and being inconsistent during the ROY race last season.

Dillon was NO's best player tonight & Jenkins was good with it..

Anderson did a solid job defending Ingram.

I'd hope people saw the usefulness of having Jonas, 9-11 for 23/7 in 24mins after being out for an extended period, a part reason for both Memphis runs but I wouldn't count on it.

Memphis up 5, Pelicans & Adams 3 consecutive offensive rebounds swung the game, with the 3rd attempt leading to a Bledsoe open 3. All down hill from there...

Ja having another bad game is what sunk us. If he is off we will be hard pressed to win.

Ja will break out of his slump as he gets used to teams adjusting for him, but man I kinda hate how lucky we got those games Ja was out in regards to opposing team injuries/rest/H&S Protocol. We could be set up for a nice pick right about now which honestly we could use as I (and most of us) think we are still one piece away and the 2021 draft would be the optimal place to try and find it.

Yeah Ja wasn't good either but the difference is they're loading up on Ja as apposed to Dillon who they want playing out of control.

Dillon 4-17,

Ja 5-14.

9-31 combined ..

Agree with the rest. Jalen Green would look good in Memphis.

The situation with DB is that the Grizzlies has given Dillon carte blanche to be a shooter(which he's not by nature). On any other team, I suspect he would be a fourth option to a sixth man with limited amount of shots he can take. I can appreciate his assertiveness to the game. However, his assertiveness on offense can be taken as a form of recklessness and lacks a sense of tact to know his limits. He's no Ray Allen, let alone Klay Thompson. As such he's become the Grizzlies scorer by default. The Grizlies as we're all sure of is exploring options via trade or in the upcoming draft. Who is on their listof scorers is the next question.

It answers the question as to why Grizz win when Dillon scores 20. He's not shooting them out of games, low %. on volume.

4-17 is 13 empty possessions, that's 39 potential pts.. His defense is not making up for that. Grizz lost by 9. If Dillon shoots a mere 35%, it's a different game ...
