Memphis continue to lose games on the 3pt line.
Way to many careless TO's especially against a team shooting as well as the Raptors were.

Guess why our perimeter defense got horrible...

Good.
Your ex-team folks have finally offered 1st for JV based on his performance vs Toronto.

I know we lost, but JV still had a very large impact for us. He is the reason Ja was able to get going for stretches there. Ja is struggling with the new opposing defensive scheme against him, but JV cleaning up Ja's misses as well as being an outlet for him is one of the few things helping Ja out right now. Otherwise Ja gets frustrated and things spiral out of control.

Can you assess then the following trade from both perspectives:
Sjakam
for
Anderson
Valancuinas
Melton

I think Siakam is a 2B type of star. He is a great 3rd scoring option while playing plus D. I don't see a team making much noise in the playoffs with him as your best player or even 2nd best player. I think he is tops out as like a top 35ish player.
However he is young enough for Toronto to keep building around/with him that a offer like this doesn't have the upside needed for them to pull the trigger. Plus most of the TNT board does not have Val or Anderson valued correctly. I think it would take two more 1sts to bring Toronto to the table. Anderson would have to go to a 3rd team for value and Melton really isn't needed there either unless they let both Powell and Davis walk.

Pascal is shooting 45% from the field, 29% from 3 & is set to make 35m in 23, 37m in 24. His subpar play has been part reason Raptors are under 500.
I like Pascal but wouldn't do the trade as is having Clarke, more less adding pick/s to it. Doesn't matter if Raptors fans like it or not.
As a matter of fact with that production at 37m over a 4yr span is a negative $ contract where I'd be looking for pick compensation from the Raptors..
