Not a good close to the quarter.

It's frustrating because Memphis just bricking open looks.

Careless plays & bricks, this is why NO's has found success against Memphis. The 28th ranked defense doesn't have to play any to gain possession.

Kyle brings so much to the table offensively. He has improved a ton.

Come on Brandon Clarke. 0 D on Zion and then gets a flagrant.

144 points? What an embarrassment!

That was ugly.

NO's didn't score 149 because of poor defense. Memphis sloppy offense led to this offensive explosion/confidence boost from NO's.

Clarke couldn't stay in front of a chair against Zion.

Looked like Anderson tweaked his back twisting to try & intercept that pass, hopefully it's nothing serious.

I don't understand why they were playing up on him letting him get a head of steam to the rim..

Last nights game for me was a flash back of the Cavs/Raptors playoffs.

Like Cavs had the worse paint defense in the playoffs, NO's was ranked 28th heading into this match.

How did the Cavs dominate like NO's did? Their high powered offense & 3pt shooting punished missed shots & offensive mistakes where they were not forced to defend. Once their offense started clicking the Raptors started to play in a panic on both ends of the court, rushed shots, scrambling defense etc..all composure lost.

Like in those series, Jenkins pulled Jonas 3 times in this match, I assume for Tillman's defense & all 3 times NO's went on runs. Just like the Raptors had no success even with Ibaka or Bizz in for Jonas.. Tillman/Clarke & even Dieng late also struggled this match.

It's not because of Memphis defense this game turned out the way it did, it was Memphis missing open shots & committing careless TO's that fueled a high powered offense & their 3pt shooting.

The young team played in a panic.(Psychological aspect of the game). Where offensive pressure, plays mental defense.

1. NO just packed the paint, was quick on closeouts, and controlled passing lines. That`s how they stopped Memphis` offence.
2. NO has better talents on its roster.
3. There is an immediate whistle in every case of defendant attempting to physically compete with Holy Cow Zion.
4. Clarke should be sent back to PnRs. He must play around the rim.

I wasn't expect that hell of a blowout. That was indeed embarrassing. They allow the Pels to get in their heads and dominate and everything fell apart from there. They need to take care of the ball better and be smart when it comes to their plays and possessions.

We could not defend Zion. At all. Not many teams can, but some of the guys didn't even put up a fight.

JJJ is probably our best bet at defending Zion. Winslow if healthy is *in theory* our best bet at defending Ingram. NOP matches up well against us, but I still would love to see us vs them with both teams fully healthy. Think we could do a lot better than we looked that game.
