Why is Memphis playing up on Giannis & off of Lopez ?.

Morant MIA 0-8, 0-6 from 3, 1 assist,

That last & 1 by Gianni, he cleared out, should have been an offensive foul.

Memphis shooting 35% from the field, Jonas an uncharacteristic 2-9 shooting & 3rd off game in a row.

Down 10 at the half, defense isn't the issue.

Hopefully Jonas & Morant find their offense in the 2nd half.

Memphis start the 3rd Q on the right foot, get it down to 8, then they brick 2 wide open 3;s & force feed Jonas with 4 defenders in the post

Every response Bucks had for Memphis 4th Q came on the FT line, anyone want to take a guess as to why Memphis picked up 4 early fouls. lol. Take a look at the betting line.

Nice to see Morant show up 2nd half in a big way.

Give jack his jacket, Dillon had a big game or this would have been over at the half.

Dillon is 100% the reason we weren't blown out the first half. He brought energy and kept us in it. I still say his energy/ability to spark the team is his biggest asset and the one thing Bane/Melton/Allen can't replace.

Lack of offense is why we needed Dillon's defensive energy though. Otherwise Memphis played solid enough defense in general to win this game. They shot 35% in the first half, a good portion was Bucks just daring Morant/Grizz to hit their open 3's where Morant went 0-6 first half with open looks.. He was 0-8, Jonas 2-9, a combined 2-17, 1 assist, with 2 mins left when Morant hit his first bucket. (That's 15 empty possession from the teams top offensive options, 45 potential points). This allowed Bucks to have 2-4 players around Jonas the entire game which contributed to his off night as well. Memphis shoots a poultry 40% first half they win this game handily. A one point loss in part thanks to officials controlling the line for the Bucks 4th Q putting Memphis in the penalty early. NBA officials can subjectively call a foul on every play, putting a team quickly in the penalty is a tool they use to give points from under a teams basket to control the score. No surprise besides putting the Bucks on the line 3x where no one touched the offensive player, they'd blow that last out of bounds call.. Not sure why Memphis didn't challenge any of it, other than wanting to remain 500, lol.

Morant/Grizzlies in general need to get more reliable from 3 & then it's on..
