SI has raw 18yo Giddy going to GS at #7.

IMO there's no way GS take a raw 16yo who has to work on his shot. I feel that rumored draft selection is set up for trade.

I feel as though Memphis could pry that 7th pick without giving up 10 & if they can, they can then package 7/10 FRP's for #3 without owing any picks moving forward.

Overpay Cavs =

#3 - Mobley
3J
Brooks
Melton/Bane
Ja.

or

3J
Anderson/Clarke
Brooks
#3 - Green/Suggs
Ja

And there it is..

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/263485/Warriors-Interested-In-Moving-Up-With-Jalen-Suggs-As-Target

Warriors want to move up for #4 Suggs, using Wiseman, #7.

Memphis can give them their win now package/cheap proven quality depth + 10 & control of their pick back for Suggs.

Bucks fan, how realistic is #31 for Grayson? We have a TPE to absorb his contract into our cap. I know he’s going to be a RFA in 2022. I’ve always liked him and there’s rumors we’re looking at trading the pick for a vet.

I think most of us would do it. Could see the FO doing it too. I think the question is if we send you 40 as well. I expect we would given you eating the salary and all.

Unfortunately I think the Warriors would go with Suggs over our win-now package of picks, youth, and quality vets. They are talking about win-now, but most of what they have done seems to be more looking to the future unless a star/Beal/legit contention-level piece is available. Toronto also may not even say yes to that package. I'd love to get a top 4 pick without giving up Ja or JJJ, but it seems like that may not be in the cards.

My fresh theory is that our FO prefers either Duarte or Moody. GSW targets either of them too. Their plan was to take Duarte with #14 and do something else with #7. By trading up, our FO narrows their options. Now, we take Duarte at #10, unless GSW agrees to give up #7 so that we can take Moody. May be I am going off the rails.

If we moved down to 10 to select Moody or Duarte, I am going to be very disappointed. Both are good players and worthy picks, but I don't see either as all league game changers. Moody is a smooth offensive weapon, but I don't think he complements Ja very well. Duarte is more of a fit, but I don't see the upside to move to 10 to take him. You could have probably gotten him at 17.

I think we are poised to trade that 2022 1st and package it with #10 for a top 5 pick. If necessary, I would throw a third future 1st into the equation. The kind of player we can get early 1st would turn this franchise around.

Should a top-5 pick be available for such a price, Oklahoma and GS would be already on the top of the draft.

Moody is 19y/o. Given his size, skills, and character, I see no ceiling for this kid.

Duarte is a spectacular wing right now. “DB2”.

Moody is pretty solid, but we just moved up to 10 (acquiring another 1st) with hopes of moving up further according to the outlets here. I didn't see any of those teams offering 3 1sts to move up 5-6 slots. That's a huge haul.

It was officially reported that OKC offered #6 and SGA for #1. Feel free to count how many dozens of middle and late 1sts that offer equals to.

What about for #'s 2-4? There has to be a bit of a drop off from 1 I would imagine. I think a team like Houston should bite on that given the complete rebuild.

The perception of this draft is that Cade is #1, Green and Mobley are a combination of #2 & #3 with either "likely being a number 1 pick in a normal draft", and Suggs is #4. Barnes is #5 and is closer to Suggs than Bouknight/Kuminga for certain teams. Either way there is a drop off after 4 and for some after 5 that will take a lot to get past. Either way it is a very large hurdle for us to go from 10 to 4 or higher.

And there is a (very) unsubstantiated report that OKC may have offered Shai and 6 to move up to 3. A ton of teams have been calling Cleveland about their pick including us. If I had to guess at what a package looked like for us to get #3 it would be something like:
#10
2022 LAL 1st
2022 UTA 1st
2022 MEM 1st
2024 GSW 1st
Bledsoe
Melton
Clarke
Allen
Tyus
?Maybe Anderson who would eventually get flipped

For

#3
Love
Osman

They may want Tillman and/or Bane as part of the deal as well. It basically would take most of the non-Ja/JJJ assets excluding our future own picks aside from next year judging from the sentiment around this board. Teams are hard pressed to give up a potential star locked up for almost a decade for non-premium assets.

Offer something like Anderson, Melton, Clarke, GS 24 for #7.

Then Memphis can offer - #7 & #10 + Utah & Lakers 22 picks along with taking on Loves salary..

Do a 3 way, Cedi would be a better fit for GS

That seems like an insane offer. I wouldn't want to part with Anderson in a sign and trade capacity, but I would give all that up if it procured #2/#3. I would also deal Bane and/or Tillman to get a deal done. My concern might be Love/Osman salary putting us over so that we may not be able to sign Kyle. I would have to check the numbers there though. Green would be my first target and if he was not available, I would take Suggs. A Suggs/Ja backcourt is a similarly scary proposition for the rest of the league. Suggs looks like an alltime winning player. The Warriors aren't stupid.

What about a Jackson + 3 future 1sts + salary dump?

If we can't procure a top 5 pick, I would trade down from the #10 slot for a late 1st plus multiple 2023 1sts. I would then try to amass like 20 2023 1sts and target Wembanyama. The guy we can get at #10 is not going to be worth the value he could procure in multiple picks/future picks. A late 1st round draft pick to me has about the same value as #10, but that is just a personal preference. Begarin/Isaiah Todd have tremendous upside and are available late 1st early 2nd. I would rather oversell #10 and amass multiple picks and position myself for a player that probably has a higher upside than Green even (which is an incredible thing to me).

It`s like a unicorn+3 1sts for just a unicorn. That`s why I am hesitant. I would prefer a quantity for quality offer similar to the one proposed above.

Not a bad idea. My choice would be to trade #10 to OKC for 3 future 1sts.

I think we need to draft at least one player in this draft. After moving up and getting the fan base excited, it would be hard to end up not taking anyone.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly still listening to trade offers for the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, but it would take a lot for them to trade down.

"A source maintain it would take a 'Godfather' offer for them to willingly move out of tier one," Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reported, referring to an offer they can't refuse.
