Shameless question for fantasy basketball: Re: Grizzlies frontcourt

Post#1 » by SonicMcMahon » Sun Oct 17, 2021 3:54 pm

Hey guys,

Sorry to stroll in here with selfish motivations, feel free to sneer and move along at my not-very-organic interest in the Memphis Grizzlies.

Was just wondering what role you see Steven Adams having in the Grizz frontcourt. I'd have to figure JV is getting the big minutes at centre. I'm deciding if I should be keeping Adams as $1 value keeper. He's had a nice preseason.

If anyone know or cares to answer, would appreciate it!
-Cheers

PS> Big JV fan, hope you guys are enjoying the big lug.

I think he keeps a 20-24 minute role here, I think he could get close to where he was 2 to 3 years ago. For Fantasy I got him down as a late round guy 10+ rounder that has a chance to have a bounce back season. I think if you need a center he is worth keeping but could go either way. I think he likely finishes in the 80-110 range if he has a healthy season.

JV is gone, kinda of confused about the remarks about him.

Thanks for the reply.

I just discovered this - JV is in NO now! Hence my ignorant remarks.

Looks like that was actually the swap (JV in a trade for Adams)

You are always welcome here ha. Yeah Adams is likely the starting C for Memphis. Should do well with rebounds and may get a few points from putbacks. He also may get the occasional assist, but overall he is just a guy. I don't know your overall budget but $1 for him is fine value.

Well for those of you whose eyes were glued to this thread, shaking with anticipation... I did, in the end, draft Adams for $1 and I'm happy with that value.

Go Grizz!
