Congratulations to Ja! I know he didn't necessarily want the award, but it is still a cool honor! He tried to give it to Bane who ended up 5th ha!
Ja Morant has been named the 2021-22 NBA Most Improved Player.
A three-year NBA veteran, Morant becomes the first player to win the NBA Most Improved Player Award with Memphis. The annual award, which was first presented in the 1985-86 season, is designed to honor an up-and-coming player who has made a dramatic improvement from the previous season or seasons.
A first-time NBA All-Star selection this season, Morant averaged a career-high 27.4 points, 6.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds in 33.1 minutes in 57 games.

I saw this today. It reflects how honorable M12 is with himself and his teammates. I would like for Morant to earn his own MVP when the time his right. Just stay healthy, improve his defense and create that shot needed. All with come up in due time.
As for As for Bane, he's on the come up to being the next Ray Allen. I do believe he will get some accolades as his career progresses.

Ja says (and sometimes does) a lot of corny stuff, but he really means it. He's an awesome dude and a great leader. He's embraced the city and Memphis is lucky to have him.

I'm thinking the corny stuff will be legendary with him.
It's just part of who he is.
Memphis truly is lucky to have another player who is embracing, respecting, is well received in this city. It continues to be a great ride and I hope more great things come from this group of Grizzlies and the city.

I love Ja by all my heart, but I believe that he should’t accept this reward until he improves his defense. To be a defensive liability is a shame for a person of his level. He is not Harden to be fine with that.
The Q now is can he improve his defense? I saw him failing on the first step, loosing on the screens and missing switches. How much any of that is about focus?

If he's becoming consistent with his three point shot, then look out - he's damn near unstoppable.
