Luke or Tyus

Luke .450 vs Tyus 0.415
in 3pt %

So basically they are both elite 3pt shooters at the same price but Tyus can also add additional value to the second unit

Who should we pick?

Edit: my pick is Tyus as I am not a big fun of Luke’s “cherry picking” shots strategy which makes his stats better at the cost of the stats of his teammates who are forced to take bad shots Luke doesn’t want to take

I love Tyus and recognize that he had a big hand in contributing to winning here; however, I think the move is Luke. He's shoots at a higher clip on higher volume, and he's going to do it for you on the wings with, ideally, Ja at the point.

For better or worse, it looks like we're heading into the season with Pip the Younger as our backup point guard.

Yeah I lean Luke. I think we need as much 3pt shooting as we can get.

Given where the roster stands as is, Luke will need to be the shooter they need. As long as he continues to bring the consistency on the perimeter, he will be the way to go as far as direction goes.

Speaking of Tyus, it's very surprising that no team has pulled his number as of yet.

It would be worth reminding of the difference between Tyus backing up Ja in 2022 and Bane/Smart do the same in 2023 in terms of team performance while Ja was OOO.

I think I feel comfortable enough with Pippen to back up Ja that Kennard is my choice. But hope he is only gtd for 2 years on his new deal.
