My thoughts with Diakite is that he will be waived. Especially now that Huff has been signed to a two-way contract.

I think the goal is to dump his GTD onto another team with cash. I think that is the preferred way of moving on from him.

No really, costs the owner a few hundred thousands over his GTD to dump him. Gives us more breathing room under the tax to sign Kennard and convert a guy like Pippen/Spencer or bring in another vet for that last roster spot.
We might wait until training camp has played out some to give him a look first and see if any vets get cut around the league.
