2. At which price?

Re: Jake LRV and Ziare back or not?
Assuming we are going to renegotiate JJJ's contract, then all we have left to offer is the room exception and league min. I think Ziare W played better this year to the point that he will now get a 2nd contract but not worth more than league min for a team that wants to make noise in the playoffs. I think it's better that we let him find his way somewhere else still. Jake is a little different story, over the past 1.5 seasons he has proved he is at least rotation worthy and fills a position of need for us still depending on what happens with Aldama/Clarke. I would be ok using some if not most of the room exception on him. But I do think they are likely other targets that might be attainable for the room exception that I would target before him.
Bruce Brown is at the top of wish list for the room exception, then some guys I know that you hate in LeVert and DRussell. I just think we need some more instant offense off the bench and not force feed Bane into an on the ball role as much as we have in the recent past, let Bane do what he does best and shoot 10 3/s a game and pick and choose he opportunities better. But if Aldama or Clarke is gone due do the needing the money for JJJ, then likely need to emphasize more size with the room exception. For the room exception forwards you are looking at guys like LaRavia/Boucher/Yabusele/Precious. Not great choices but all would have a chance of being in our rotation.

I'm out on Zaire.
Jake would be worth considering, but price point would be the important factor.
Not sure Jake would return at all at this point

Jake was recently traded from the team. So unless the Larry Coon rules have recently changed here. The Grizzlies have to officially let a full year elapse before they can sign him back to the squad. As for Ziaire, I'm well past the point of no return to see him as a Grizzly.

Everyone can correct me if I am wrong. But I think this is the application of the Big Z rule.
If you trade a player, I don't believe you can re-sign/trade for that same player within the same NBA season.
It restricts some of the shady stuff that happens all the time.
I'll keep looking and see if i can find it in the CBA

I doubt either come back even if there weren't rules preventing it.

Same to hear about yourself Cubboo. I've been in and out with the site this season. Just needed a breather and needed to step back for a minute. That said, I still keep up with the team.
