The Lowdown

The Grizzlies came into the New Year 2008 with a win against the Indiana Pacers 90-72. Pau Gasol led the team with 30 and 12rebs. Rudy Gay had 24pts and 6rebs in the win. The biggest deal about the win was Mike Conley got the call to be insert into the lineup and delivered on a solid performance with 7pts, 8dimes, 6rebs, and 3stls. Conley's performance left most if not all Grizzfans impressed after the win. They will head further north to take on the newly upgraded Boston Celtics. Among the upgrades are Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, who combined with Paul Pierce with the responsibility of the Celtics strong success this season. As they are riding a 9 game winning streak. They will look to get to win #10 tonight as they take on the Grizzlies.

Clawmark Keys to the Game

1. Feed off the momentum from the last win.

We are only riding a 7 game win streak. You guys really have a lot of talent, but your record tells its own tale. So what is there to expect other than a Celtics win? Preferably by 10 points or more.

EDIT: The name of our arena is "TD Banknorth Garden", not "TD Northbank Arena".

Should be a pretty good game.
I haven't seen the Grizzlies young players yet.

The way this season has gone for both teams, I'll be happy if we can just see a competitive game tonight.

It would be good to see how they respond from the last win and use that momentum against the Celts Big "3".

PLease keep your Celtics comments on the Celtics Board. Every game you spend your time on the opponents board expressing your undying love for the Celtics and disdain for the chances of the opponent, My guess is that all you're doing is annoying the faithful Grizz fans and giving them one more reason to hate Celtics fans.

Sorry about the trolling.

Good luck, you guys have some top talent. This looks like a real trap game for the Celtics, as the Spurs discovered when playing you.

What are your thoughts on mighty mouse? edit:nevermind, just saw the 3 page thread.

Once again, good luck.

Jefe, I'm certainly with you on that. I feel that way about just about every game...

The Griz haven't been consistent about being competitive... sometimes they look awesome and other times they look just awful.

Major troll alert.

As always, I'm rooting for my main man Rudy Gay. It will be a good matchup against Pierce.

21-19 Grizzlies. Grizz a little quick rushing the shots a bit.

28-26 Celts get the lead. Tony Allen is sparking the Celts up with 7pts off the bench. Grizz defense needs to look alive.

In the mid-second Tony Allen is keeping the Celts in this one with 11pts.

Navarro hit 2-2 to give the Grizz a 34-32 lead.
