Both man to man, rotations, his passion/tenacity, blocking, challenging shots etc.

His defense? most of times is lacking, anyway....i think it was because he didnt have motivation. Now that he is gone im sure he will start to play quite well.

He's not too bad of a shot blocker.

Not too bad as a shotblocker? He's been almost every season in the top ten in BPG, so I think he's better than just "not too bad".
His defense is decent. He lacks heart and intensity, but as a smart guy he uses to be in the right place.
And about how a lack of motivation affects him, I've got to agree with our finish friend since I'm used to see a whole different Pau Gasol every summer with the Spanish NT. He plays way better in both ends of the court if the team can compete for a championship. He's simply an absolutely different player, and I really think we'll see that in LA.

Ive heard the term "Soft" A lot by a bunch of haters. Not worried about his Offense. A little worried about his thin frame but should be a beast on boards/blocks.

He is not "soft". He just may not be as strong as Big Ben. He is a good shotblocker. Hes pretty good at defense.

He's a great off the ball defender, in fact it's how he gets 95% of his blocks. Man-to-man he's very weak. Often he gets pushed under the goal (or close to it) and simply holds his hands straight up and doesn't move (i.e. the statue defense) in order to avoid getting called for a foul.
