Apparently the Grizzlies are suppose to be involved in the deal between the Rockets and New Orleans in which they are to receive the rights to F Marcus Vinicius. So it's really a minor deal at best.

And I remember that the Hornets almost made him a 1st rond pick

So far, he fits the current scheme of the team. More offense, less defense. We're going places.

seems like a poor man's thabo sefalosha to me.....
i do remember his name thrown around as a potential 1st rounder that year....
hopefully he can play forward and decrease BC's minutes....
we might need him when Miller shuts it down again at the end of the year...

Too bad there's no TKO to pick up Miller's slack when it comes down to the end of the season.

I just know this: He has a terrible issue with confidence, terrible, but he has a decent potential to be good in this league, he just have to believe in himself!
Sorry for my english too..
By the way, he is a litlle bit headcase, but he knows he is in NBA and here he is minor fish...

What the heck happened to Malick Badiene? Is he coming over?

Vinicius dropped by Grizzlies today. On Malick Badiane, I have my doubts he's coming to the NBA. Besides, from what I heard on the guy. He's raw offensively and simply may not be NBA material.

^ Wow, I didn't think it was possible for us to value a player less than we valued Sergei.

Waive Vinicius was a mistake. I garantee that he is better and has more upside than half of the Grizzlies roster.

I don't understand how this kid could not even get a decent evaulation. Bobby Jones and Jeremy Richardson got more attention than this. Maybe he came in making demands?
Can we lower the temp on the AC?
I would like a parking space closer to the door?
I don't like the road uni, I just won't dress on away games?
Aside from the above behavior I really don't understand the move. These actions are really reflecting bad on the organization. It is one thing to be horrible on the floor and quite another to be horribly run.

The move for Vinicius was basically for cash considerations as it turns out now. As for the moves by the organization, really streaky in their overall history. They should've committed to rebuilding when they traded off Shane Battier, had the Pau offers coming in from Chi-town and when they decided to not use Eddie Jones contract to trade for a an all-star from last season. That was during the Jerry West era alone. With the Chris Wallace era, the Grizzlies weren't going anywhere, but backwards so Pau was moved with the mission of getting under the salary cap being first priority. It's really a big mess right now and it will take some time before the Grizzlies will get better if any at all. Just don't take too long then neccessary. They already suffering bad attendance.
