A letter of support to Memphis fans

Post#1 » by Gant » Sat Mar 8, 2008 4:29 pm

Greetings our Chris Wallace double-crossed brothers,

We Celtic fans understand your plight. Our thoughts are with you in your time of need. You have our unwavering support from now until you are released from the clutches of a cheap owner and his poor-drafting and worse-trading henchman.

We shall not rest until you once again breathe free!

Sincerely, The Northeast Society of Chris Wallace Victims

Sorry. Heisley gets the majority of blame here. Wallace gets his blame in that he got stuck in the unfortunate position of having to carry it out.

Chris Wallace actively applied for the position as chief executioner of hope. It's the very same role he held in Boston under Rick Pitino and Paul Gaston, and one he has plenty of experience to carry out.

Here is a record of his crimes against humanity:

This is the reason he got the job. He's good at making cold-blooded cost-cutting deals for skinflint owners.

Regardless, our thoughts are with you from now until your day of liberation.
Solidarity!

Still doesn't take from the fact that our owner is the issue in all this. If anything his issue may be that he's too much of a yes man based on what you and I are saying.

Could be. Chris Wallace is willing to do a lot of things that hurt a basketball team for a sizable salary. Perhaps many people would do the same.

Anyway we hope your current owner either undergoes a philosophical change or sells the team to someone who understands their responsibility as overseer of a franchise.

As for Mr. Wallace, after he has returned to Massachusetts to serve out his full sentence in Walpole State Penitentiary, we hope he can become a contributing member of society.

Good points and I wouldn't doubt your theory one bit.

His hire alone is proper evidence.

He had nothing in his history to suggest he might even remotely have been a good potential hire to turn this franchise around. At least not in the Sam Presti, Kevin Pritchard mold.

He has also said publicly that his deal here is not very long.

I would not doubt it one bit.

The only thing he said publicly about his contract is that it is less than 2 presidential terms. Which I would assume he meant that it was more than 4 years, but less than 8.
