What are your plans for him? It sounds like you guys are going young. Are you looking to drop his contract? If so, would you consider sending him to the Warriors for the TPE?

we had the chance to trade him for expiring contracts with miami.....

and oddly enough, the gm, coaching staff and owner value miller a lot and wouldn't trade him for cap relief alone.....

i suspect that if a draft pick was attached to any salary relief, he would be gone....

How about the Warriors 2nd rounder plus the TPE?

You also get a new TPE to use in a future trade.

What about this potential trade... Maybe made in the off-season?

Rockets trade: Bobby Jackson (Expiring Contract), Luther Head, 1st Round Pick

Memphis trades: Mike Miller

What do you think about that trade?

IMO not good enough.

However, I'd be on board for swapping Miller for Battier straight up.

I don't think it would be wise for the Rockets to get rid of Battier. I think the Grizzlies are probably looking for a lottery pick out of Miller.

Expiring deal and a pick in the 11-19 range for Miller would get it done I think.

The Rockets wouldnt even consider that. Thats a similar trade to the the Pau Gasol deal. I think the Rockets will try something this summer.

Why would the Rockets deal not be good then?
You get an expiring and a athletic combo guard who can shoot the lights out and a pick only 2-4 picks out of the bracket they are looking for?
IMO Mike Miller does not net you, pick wise, anything more than the 18th

How big is the margin of value from say 18-23?

Then the Grizz would be far better off keeping him. Of course, I disagree with your assessment.

Do you guys think the FO would have any interest in Boris Diaw? He has 2 more years on his contract than MM but he is only 25. I think he would fit well with most of your roster. He's a point forward who really gets guys easy shots in the offense.

Boris has been playing well for PHX but I think with Shaq they could use another big wing and perimeter shooter.

Thoughts?

Trade Miller and Collins to the Lakers for Odom. Odom is a 14 million dollar expiring contract and is a good player. He is having his best overall season, getting 14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and shooting 50%.
