Couldn't they keep his contract and use him in a possible trade like the Nets most likely will try with Keith van Horn ? I mean they still could have waved him later ...

That's what I was guessing. But after the Kinsey "fiasco" (tongue firmly in cheek although Kinsey >>>> Jacobsen) I thought some inquiring Grizz minds may want to know...
