PHd Griz, I can tell you right now that the Blazers would never do that deal. I realize that the Grizzlies place a lot of value on Conley, but the Blazers would consider this to be dramatically overpaying. A lot of fans claim that the Blazers grossly over-value their own players, but the Blazers brass think he's going to be a pillar of the Blazers future. Also, in a related note, the Blazers allegedly turned down an Outlaw + #13 + filler for Mike Miller deal. I don't know if that gives you any measure of value, but thats a reference point.
Rip City, baby!!!!

I Could live only with the #3 and Rudy...maybe send Warrick or another PG...

I would probably do that. I doubt that Portland management would because theyre supposedly extremely high on Rudy, but I think it would benefit all 3 teams pretty well with that trade as long as Outlaw isnt going as well

most griz fans think conley is worth more than the 13th and outlaw...personally I think it is really close value-wise....if you guys re-sign james jones, you have your 2 SF's in him and webster....
p.s. good luck getting rudy over here....same to us with marc gasol....they 2 are probably 2 of the best Euro players looking to come over this year, but the weak dollar will make it difficult to sign either, IMO.....

Well I would actually rather give up Rudy to get Conley than Outlaw. I dont think Outlaw will be moved this summer. I dont think Blazers management will move either him or rudy but I would love to move Rudy and the 13th for conley.
As far as Rudy coming over, its pretty much a forgone conclusion that he'll be here next year. Hes already said that hes 95% sure hes coming as well as McMillan just said that its a done deal that he'll be here (although unofficially)
Its not a bad deal, but I dont think the Blazers FO will move either of those guys

The money is not going to match up once the deal is tweaked for Portland. T. Outlaw makes more money than Conley so the Blazers can not get Conley and give up Outlaw and the #13. They could however give up Martell Webster & the #13 for Conley and have it work out.
If you traded for Outlaw do you play him at the 3 or the 4 as Rudy Gay is at the 3 playing 40 plus minutes? Martell Webster plays the 3 in Portland but can play the 2 which may be a pretty good wing combination. Throw in Mayo and you have a 6"5 point guard, a 6"7 shooting guard, and a 6"9 small forward and all are above average to elite athletes for their position. I would say that is a pretty good building block for any foundation. Don't get me wrong I am not againist adding Outlaw, its just if he is not going to start then his value is not as great to make the current deal. IMO
