Should we? I think so

The Grizz might be weak on defense... wait they already are. So adding more offensive firepower is always a good thing.
If you can land Ellis while signing MGasol, then I think the Grizz have to draft either Love or Beasley (if the opportunity arises). If they draft Mayo, then the Grizz have to look at throwing money at Josh Smith or Okafor.

An emerging star like Monta Ellis would be an excellent addition to our backcourt. He can handle the ball and could also play some off guard. I believe that Ellis could bring fans to the seats and wins to the win column.

I'd prefer Josh Smith, but Monta is right up there on my wish list.

I'm with Mtown and to a point Grizzle Gm...
Obviously if the grizz can get Mayo, then the SG is locked up.
If the grizz can get a late lotto pick then Budinger may be a option also.
I think the grizzlies are weaker up front and should focus the FA $$ on Smith, Okafor..
And if you are going backcourt then Iggy or Ellis..
what about JR SMITH, he will come a lot cheaper than iggy or ellis??
Maybe a new poll should be started of who you think the grizzlies should target..
Josh Smith
Omeka Okafor
Andre Iguadola
Monta Ellis
JR Smith

Not only would I not want J.R. Smith on my team, I wouldn't want him in my house.

I think Josh Smith is a more defensive, and less offensive version of Rudy Gay, and similar to Warrick...do the Grizz really need another guy like that? unless they deal Warrick (cuz I think dealing Rudy away would be a mistake), i think Smith would not fit the team's needs.
I think Okafor is the better option.

Without a doubt, I would sign Okafor over Ellis. We can draft Gordon, Bayless, or Mayo @5. Sign Marc Gasol, and then use Miller/Hakim/Lowery as trade bait to land a solid player and/or draft picks!
Conley
Gordon or Bayless or Mayo
Gay
Okafor
Milicic/Gasol
To me, this would be one of the better, young teams in the league! Now, whether or not we could make the playoffs in the West, is another story completely!

Josh Smith is already better than Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrick combined and he can't even make a jumper yet.

I throw that money at Josh Smith. I like Ellis, but I don't know how he fits on the roster. Actually... to be honest... I just don't like Combo Guards. I like my Point guards to play D, setup the offense and pass the ball. I like my shooting guards to play D and score. Period. Ellis can't play D, he's short for a shooting guard and he's not a pure point guard.

While I should wholly agree with what you're saying, for some reason there's just "something" about Monta that separates him from the crowd. He has an it factor that you just can't put a finger on.
Of the restricteds out there I'd like to see the Grizz go after him, Josh Smith or Biedrins.

Throw all the cap space we have at Monta. If GSW matches, then throw a descent offer at Biedrins. GSW will have a hard time matching both offers, and either player would be a huge upgrade for us.

It would take a huge offer sheet for the Warriors not to match. How much do you think the Grizz ought to throw at him?

It will be interesting to see how Monta and Andris are treated by other teams. In recent seasons its mostly gone like this for big RFAs: home team announces they will match any offer; other teams stay out of the running; home team gets player for reasonable price. It's almost like the owners have decided to not compete with each other for RFAs.
As a Warriors fan, i selfishly hope that trend continues for one more year, so that the Warriors can benefit from it.

Please, no Monta! He's too small, too weak, can't shoot... just makes no sense for us

He's 6'3" in shoes, a bit vertically challenged for the 2, but still acceptable.
Too weak. By far your weakest argument. Please spare me. He averaged 5 boards a game. He and Jason Kidd were the only sub 6'6" guys to average 5 boards a game.
Can't shoot. Shot 53% - yes 53%, from the floor. Lead everyone 6'5" in this stat as well. No, doesn't have the best outside shot, but he picks and chooses his shots and drives like a fiend. Shoots your too weak statement to crap too...

I think you will see the Grizz offer Monta. Then after GS matches, the Grizz will offer Biedrins and GS will be forced into lux tax hell or let Biedrins go.
Today (because I flip-flop on this issue), I would like to see the Grizz take Gordon or Mayo in the draft and sign Biedrins in FA period.

The most challenging scenario for the Warriors would be if both Monta Ellis and Biedrins got big, front-loaded offer sheets - say long-term deals starting around $12 or $13 mil per. But the Warriors have a lot of flexibility, and even getting into the lux tax would only mean one year (Adonal Foyle's ~$7 mil and Baron's ~$18 mil come off the books next summer).
When team's want to keep their RFA's, they tend to keep them. And as has been said, teams are hesitant to bid on other teams' FAs when they are likely to match, because that just ties up the Grizz' cap space for a week.
Are the Grizz prepared to offer a deal with a first year salary of $12 or $13 mil for either of these players? If not I don't see either one of them switching teams (and even then it might be tough).
