If Lee is the best young 'Vet', that the Grizz can get for the 5th pick, I would seriously consider picking another team to watch.

The #5 pick for Lee is asinine. Wallace would be run out of town and the sound you'd first hear would be the remaining season ticket holders vacating their seats.

I would not even give this a second thought. There are (2) indicators here that will tell you all you need to know about this potential deal.

First ALL of the reports about it are coming out of New York along with WHO the knicks would draft at #5 and #6.

Secondly, would Wallace refuse to include the #5 in a deal to land Beasley, just so he could send it to New York for David Lee?

Gentlemen, whenever you see a report coming out of a New York paper slanted toward the Knicks or any other team based in the area, please take that report with a grain of salt.

They are just simply thinking out loud about moves they wished would occur.

I would have to think that if the Grizz could get the #2 without giving up the #5 (assuming Conley is part of the deal), then the Grizz could select Bayless or Gallinari with the #5.

It is not going to happen. I agree with dark-child 100%. If the Grizzlies were that desparate to cut payroll, they would have shipped MMiller off to the Heat last year FOR J-Will and Ricky Davis!

GrizzMan and darkchild and everyone else in this thread besides the OP are right. This is a joke of a deal which will never happen.
