It is a bit difficult to choose just one, as all of them with the exception of one (lee from NY) would cause some emthusiasm for the next season. We should also take into account what happens with #28 as that pick could tip the scale on was it a big night for the Grizz?

My idea of a good night:
Grizz trade for Beasley without giving up #5 and or Conley
Grizz stay at #5 and trade Lowry & #28 to Denver for Kleiza & #20
Grizz draft Mayo at #5 and either Serge Ibaka, Deandre Jordan, or Nicolas Batum at #28
Grizz draft Love at #5 and Nicolas Batum at #28
Grizz trade #28 to Seattle or Portland for at least 3 - 2nd round picks this year

That's my list as it pertain to draft night, the real list contains Megan Fox and Alicia Keys but that's for another day.

So long as we come out with Conley, Gay, and Beasley, it's successful IMO.

I voted for the first four. I think any one of those scenarios will be good for us.

The more I watch Beasley, the more I would give up anything besides Gay to get him, and I actually might consider Gay for Beasley, Banks. This would also make sense, since the Grizz sent out Gay jerseys to season ticket holders!

So either

Lowry, Miller, #5

or
Miller, Gasol, #5

or
Conley, Miller, Gasol

i hope there is a trade....

not for david lee of course...and getting beasley won't happen....

but a trade for some young established player....or a trade that gets us the extra few millions we need to go get josh smith....

make a splash, and not the one created by the kevin love cannonball....

ok... I think there is some validity to the Minnesota, Grizz trade!!! Their GM was on sportscenter tonight and was talking about how they could move down a little bit and still get a player that could help day 1.

If the draft goes like this:
1-Rose
2-Beasley
3-Mayo
4-Bayless
5-Love

I think you will see:
MGasol, #5 (I hope it would be Darko, #5 for Jaric, #3)
for
#3

Then
Miller, Warrick, #3
for
#2, Blount

The Grizz would end up with a core of Conley, Gay, Beasley

_________________________________________________________________________________

If the draft goes like this:
1-Rose
2-Beasley
3-Mayo
4-Lopez
5-Bayless

Then you will see a direct Memphis/Miami swap
Miller, Bayless, Warrick, #28 for Beasley, Blount
Miami gets their starting PG & SF plus a decent backup PF. Their lineup is then Bayless, Wade, Miller, Marion, Haslem.

Memphis would end up with
Conley/Lowry/Critt
FA or trade Lowry/Critt
Gay
Beasley
Gasol/Milicic

Just my late night guesses... but I really think Minny is counting on moving down to either 4 or 5 in the draft.

I think it's safe to say that draft night will NOT be a success. The last successful draft was 2001, and that was before the team's move was approved.

This draft night is going to be a success because we are looking to move the pick. This is a brilliant move imo....we could get talent later in this draft plus getting a future pick could be interesting.
