Here it is ppl. Draft Night 2008. Where this day can be a make or break for the Grizzlies. For the night the Grizzlies have the #5 and the #28 picks in the draft. Unless a trade or two happens to take place during the draft, the Grizzlies will be picking from their respective spots. Hopefully, the Grizz will draft smart and if neccessary, trade smart as well. Latest rumor have the Blazers, Nets, and Knicks after the Grizz 5th pick. Unless these three teams have something that will convince the Grizz to cough up the 5th pick. This rumor will be returned to sender.

I think that the Grizz could be successful if they traded down for the Nets later pick and a future first plus cash. This could potentially put the Grizz in prime position for next year.

So far, Rose, Beasley, and Mayo are fallin in line with the mocks. No surprises there.

It's official. The Grizzlies select Kevin Love out of UCLA.
