Hey Raptors fan........any Memphis Tigers fans that would know Sean Banks?

been reading about him but didn't know anything about him until the Raps announced he was on the summer league roster

sounds like an interesting prospect but with all the off court issues a really weird one for the Raps who have emphasized character.

so anyone that watched him
Whats his game like? Does he have talent? could he make it in this league if he was able to clean up his act?

thanks

Expect nothing of him and there's a small chance you won't be disappointed.

He got kicked off of Memphis for sleeping with a teammate's girlfriend (among other things I'm sure). I guess there are worse things to get kicked off of a team for. He came back and was a solid citizen and played fairly well for us his last year. Irregardless, he was never more than a solid starter for the University of Memphis and probably isn't NBA material. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

he also got kicked off for taking dumb shots down the stretch and being a ball hog.

He arrived at Memphis with NBA Potential, if he could avoid off court issues.

Off court issues derailed him. He left here a total head case.

Ability wise, the kid has skills. But he never developed them.

He has all the tools in the world to become a great player, but he is stuck in the D league because no team wants to waste their time on a headcase. Also, it does not seem like he is willing to give in and play within an offensive system, which is a problem in the NBA. He is one of the most talented scorers that D League has to offer. I would not be shocked to see him put up big numbers off the bench if an NBA team was willing to take a chance on him.
