David Lee refuses to sign a long term deal for the Grizz and possibly kills a trade for our number 5 pick with the NYK. Thank you David Lee.
I wonder if he is still a fan fave in NY after that.

No doubt. But still, what an asshat. Can't wait to boo him mercilessly this season when we're drilling the Knicks

Im so happy he didnt get traded here. That means we wouldve never traded for OJ Mayo, who is going to be a Superstar in this league.

Thank you, indeed - and a role player making demands about where he will and won't play, that's rich.

I was kinda pissed when I read that, I always thought David Lee was a non-douche. Guess I was wrong. Like mentioned though, it all worked out for the best.

Okay the Grizz finally caught a break, even if it was no fault of there own. The idea of this trade is very telling, in that they were only going to do the deal because they thought Mayo would be off the board and the Knicks were doing to have a chance at Mayo.
This also shows that although the Grizz were high on Kevin Love they did not value him more than David Lee or at least feel his upside was greater.
Can we know imagine no #5 pick, but going into the season with David Lee and no free agent signing imminent? That would have really been a downer.
Being a GM in the NBA is so hit or miss, as in hindsight everyone is clearly saying, "WTF" were the Grizz thinking regarding that deal since we now have Mayo.
David Lee is going to get his 10 million per because Austin Croshere got his, but everyone should be grateful the Grizz will not be paying his arse!

Look at this way. It's one less disgruntled player you have to worry about in the locker room. Lee and his agent really aren't in position to make these decisions about where they wish to be traded or not be traded to. He should be lucky to be playing in the NBA at all.
