Former members of the Kansas Jayhaws' NCAA championship team Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat and Darrell Arthur of the Memphis Grizzlies were dismissed from the NBA's Rookie Transition Program on Wednesday morning after being caught in their hotel room at Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook, N.Y., with marijuana, according to sources.

"Yes, they were sent home for violating program rules," NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre said.

According to a source, the players were also fined $20,000 each and will begin the season on the suspended list.

Really bad for the Grizz. And considering that the Grizz promote the whole squeaky clean image. Arthur gettin caught, fined, and upcoming suspension hurts him along with the Grizz. Dumb judgement on Arthur's part.

What a surprise... A report came out that Beasley was in the room too, but he got to stay and is not getting fined or suspended! And magically the report now has been deleted from ESPN.

This is a prime reason why the NBA front office has no credibility.

The NBA decided to drop the suspensions to Grizz PF Darrell Arthur and Heat PG Mario Chalmers after the duo were kicked out of the NBA rookie program nearly two weeks ago for drug possession. They still have to pay the 20,000 dollar fine and go back to the NBA rookie program next summer.

Yeah... because they didn't find any weed in the room. It smelled like weed. That and a couple of girls cost him 20 large.

Whoever thought the green and the girls would be that expensive. That should be enough to say no to drugs for him.
