Allright, the *good* Grizz team showed up tonight and led wire to wire. Great play by Hak, Buckner!?!, and Gasol. I was surprise (and ultimately glad) to see Rudy on the bench to start the game - the Grizz actually looked really good with Mayo and only defensive role players around him - however, Rudy was only bench for showing up late to the shoot around apparently.

Hopefully, we can take some momentum from this game into OKC wednesday night for some payback.

The Grizz collect their first division win of the season. Not only T-Mac was out as expected, but Ron Artest sat out tonight's game with a sore foot. The Grizz came out the gates very aggressive and stayed in control to the end. Hopefully this game could be the start of a momentum swing.

No wonder Coach Iavaroni is on the hot seat.

He leaves Rudy on the bench during the last 3-4 minutes of the first half when the Rockets are building momentum and then takes out both Juice/Rudy in a tight game for about 10 minutes in the second half.

Just idiotic on his part.

Finally a good game! And the team has played like a team, not like Mayo-againt-5 or Gay-against-5.

So, Tillery has since changed it to "Grizzlies Stagger Rockets," but the original title of his recap of the game was "Grizzlies Don't Start Gay" - it's still in the URL

Which begs the question going forward IMO: Will the Grizz continue not to start Gay, or will they revert to starting Gay? No doubt he's second best scorer; but as I said before, I liked the way our squad looked when they didn't start Gay.

I think this game should open some eyes as to how to go forward. And I don't mean that Rudy Gay should come off the bench.

I realize that Artest and McGrady would have changed everything, but the fact is having a more defensive starting lineup proved it's worth. And more importantly, having bench depth and scoring is huge. I've noticed that aside from Warrick( who is playing great this season in my opinion) your team basically has no one that can come in and make a difference when the young starters need a break from the pressure.

Defensive starting lineup. Better bench depth. The GM should take serious note when considering any upcoming trades.

Oh yeah. Loved Darko's Hulk Hogan imitation when he ripped his jersey.
