First win streak of the season! Grizz finally show some heart and comeback from a 21 point deficit to get revenge on the Thunder. Clutch play by Conley, Ross, Buckner and Gay down the stretch. With the Grizz heading into a five game homestand, there's an opportunity to make a dramatic improvement to the record.

It's a win by the hardest. Coming back from a 21 point deficit took a lot of fighting to earn the "W". It's better to fight like hell than to lay down in defeat. Can they defend their home for five games and collect an above .500 record? Hopefully they can. Good win Grizz.

Where in the hell was Mayo during the 4th?!? Yeah, I am excited we won, but I don't like seeing our "future star" sitting on the bench especially after he's had such a good offensive game through 3!

For you guys that saw the game how was the matchup between Mayo and Westbrook? Did they guard each other at all? In college Westbrook was able to match up against OJ.

some.

Westbrook, however, can guard just about anybody. That guy is really, really quick.

The Thunder have a long way to go. Perhaps further than the Grizzlies.

I agree it was odd that Mayo wasn't in, but the lineup with Buckner and Ross seized the lead in the early fourth and built it through the middle of the fourth. IMO it's hard to fault Ivy for keeping that lineup in; although he did bring Gay in towards the middle of the fourth for Ross or Buckner (I can't remember which).

I didn't realize at the time, but Peter Edmunson of all people brought up an interesting point, that maybe Iavaroni is keeping Mayo and Conley off the court at the same time as they do not mesh well. Which if tru is alarming. Conley played more minutes and fairly well for Mike Conley. Mike was also removed as the starter and when he comes in the game Ross is usually in there with him and not Mayo. I don't like deferring to Mike Conley over Mayo just because he is playing decent. My new rule is if you can't play with OJ then you will not play. Although since I am not the coach, Ivy will continue on his scortched earth policy prior to his unemployment.

^ Good observation, I have to keep an eye on that. I realize that in the last few games Mayo has started the game with Lowry, and then both have gone to the bench when Conley subs in (typically at the quarter break); but I haven't paid as much attention from that point on.
