man, I'm not trying to offend you, and I'm not saying you're trolling-but that is truly a poor offer.
If Gay were to be traded, he could bring back a lot more than a talent downgrade at his position and $3M extra expiring dollars.

I would like to express that the thoughts and opinions of Il Devo do not reflect those of the Portland Board. Please lock and forget.

ya i have to agree that trade idea is brutal.
I am a Blazers fan but also an NBA fan and that deal is insulting and not just to Grizz fans. i mean while your at it ask they throw in Mayo and we will add Shavlik Randolph and maybe a 2nd rounder. All fans are welcomed on any board but do not waste there time with garbage like this.
Agree please Lock this thread ASAP

On behalf of the Blazers board, I apologize for this proposal. Of course, Portland would do this deal in a second but most of us realize that Memphis would be crazy to make this deal.

You are pathetic... "On behalf of the Blazers board, I apologize for this proposal" ... REALLY?
Why are you apologizing for this thread on this board? You have nothing to do with it. And the audience of these boards are random nobodies from each team's fanbase with no affiliation to any team's basketball operations office. If anyone gets "offended" by any trade proposal on a message board, than they are (Please Use More Appropriate Word). The fact that you went out of your way to come in here and post that replay is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) also.....who the **** cares?
You and "Walton'sBeard!" are some serious basement dwellers that need to get out in the daylight.

Actually, I surf the boards on a regular basis to read up on the opinions of other NBA fans and personally, I'd find this trade proposal offensive if I were a Grizzlies fan. You set yourself up for criticism when you went to another board and while it wasn't your intention, seemed to represent the opinion of the entire Blazer board. I'm sorry that you found my message offensive, but I'm sure there are plenty of Grizzlies fans offended my your trade proposal as well.
Also, granted, while most posters are not directly involved with their team's front office, it is up to the posters to decide if particular moves are good or bad for the team they support. Proposing this offer is offensive to Memphis fans as it's really so ridiculous in terms of value. Memphis could do better for Rudy Gay, and I tend to think the majority of legitimate NBA fans would concur.

Look, I'm not here to start an argument, especially on another board, but quite honestly, I want to make it clear that your ridiculous trade doesn't represent what other posters on the Blazer board feel. If you ask me, you're pretty lucky that this hasn't been locked yet.

Oden2... As Grizzlies fans we are used to it. None of our players are worth anything, but everyone wants to trade with us.
If the Grizz would consider the original trade, then I guess Portland would be willing to agree to the following:
LMA, Roy
for
Warrick, Conley, Arthur, Lowry

The Grizzlies should pick up Richard Hendrix. The Warriors just waived him to make room for Monte Ellis' return. Hendrix hasn't done a whole lot but to be fair he hasn't had much of a chance. He's strong and a solid rebounder, was very good in college, and for an ultra cheap price Memphis would have nothing to lose since they still have an open roster spot.
If I were the GM I would definitely sign him for the mnimum. Craig Smith, Paul Milsap, Carl Landry, all were low picks like Hendrix that didn't play much in the beginning but proved to be strong power forwards that filled a niche. Hendrix may not turn out to be the answer but it's worth the gamble in my opinion.

I was just reading about Hendrix and thinking the same thing Downtown.
Of course, I was also just reading about how Utah's owner has vowed not to go into luxury land - thinking the Grizz should offer Millsaps a big $ contract next season...

I've stated my opinion on Milsap before. I think the Grizzlies should make a play for him.

How about Conley and Warrick for Sergio and Rudy + Outlaw or another throw to make the salaries work?
Too much from either team????
Makes the Grizz a little thin at the 4 but locks up their PG and SG positions for a long time.
They can go to free agency for Millsap (Jazz) or try and make a trade for Tyrus Thomas (Bulls trying to get rid of him)
Potland will do anything to keep Oden's head on straight (depressed now - Conley would help) and gets good value with Warrick

Portland gives too much in that proposal. It wouldn't significantly better our team at any position. It only get's Oden his friend.
We have Bayless as our future point, and we have big plans for Rudy.
