Real talk. There is a possibility that the Grizzlies are in the process of trading for Leandro Barbosa. The Suns are looking to dump salary and the Grizzlies appear to be in the lead to get Barbosa. Here's the links to the article.

I would absolutely love that, and would give up Lowry and a second in the proverbial heartbeat to get it done.

According to the potential deal, all the Grizz have to do is give up a second round pick to get Barbosa. Like what the Clips did with Marcus Camby back in the summer. It would be a good move. More offensive punch coming off the bench at the SG spot.

They need to make this deal happen. Barbs can give the Grizz instant offense from off the bench. He needs to improve on his defense though as Coach Hollins will not put up with lack of defensive intensity.

If so, the more, the better. If this trade goes down according to plan.

Considering the fact that the Grizz are one of (15) teams seeking the loan from the NBA to cover operating cost losses, and we have done at least 3 trades with financial considerations, I find it hard to fathom M. Heisley doing a deal for Barbaso and not sending anything of value the other way to offset the cost. I am not saying it won't happen but it doesn't seem to fit the current pattern.

Looks like the Barbosa to Memphis deal was only a rumor.
