I am hoping Heisley won't give into giving Gay more than a 5 year, $60-65M contract, but Rudy has a douche agent, and Heisley is in love with Gay, so that could lead to some serious overpayment...

This is what I'm afraid of considering how the organization has been these past couple of seasons.

This is important for the Grizz.

I'm guessing it will be something along the lines of what Granger got in Indy - 5 @ $60 million. That SHOULD be the framework. Even though there are differences in their games, they are similar enough that it should be a fair point of comparison.

I think it will be a lot more like Luol Deng. Granger is underpaid. Gay allegedly still has upside as he matures.

Man, isn't "underpaid" a relative term :D

I hope the Grizz DO NOT give Rudy an extension this off season. Too many un answered questions (Grizz nad Gay IMO), and no extention required (as he will be restricted free agent next year).

That being said, Grizz probably extend him now AND overpay, and we run the risk of Pau Gasol Part II :noway: . When Rudy brings it on BOTH sides of the court, pay the man, but not until then.

VERY! If you go back ONE YEAR. His contract is crazy.... I mean his contract relative to new ones in the 08/09 season ONLY.

Rudy waits until there is about 20 or so games left in the season to start playing like he gives a damn and then immediately starts asking for an extension. You're not the first to try and pull this stunt Rudy. I hope they pay you the way you've played for most of the season and not like what you've played like for a few games.

Well to be fair I don't think Rudy initiated anything 360.

another wonderful example is Rashard Lewis contract. Arguably Gay is far more valuable than him. But does he get $$$ like that at this point of his career?
