Memphis Grizzlies rookies O.J. Mayo and Marc Gasol were named to 2008-09 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Teams, the league announced today. Mayo and Gasol are the first Grizzlies rookie duo to earn All-Rookie honors since Pau Gasol and Shane Battier in 2001-02, the club’s first season in Bluff City.

Nice! This was one HELLUVA rookie class. I have no probs with the folks that made the all rookie team. My only gripe would be that Love should have been first team over Beasley, but hey, minor quibble. Way to go OJ and Marc - job well done season one with the Grizz!!
