If the King's are interested in a PG - they should ask about Conley.

To be honest, we are not too high on Conley.

Likewise the Grizz aren't high on moving out of the #2 for a package along those lines.

Rubio is a perfect fit for our team, so he´s not avalible, at least on these terms

Speak for yourself... much of the kings community is high on Conley. How would a Jason Thompson/ Mike Conley trade feel?

what about something like this...

Memphis gets:
#3 pick + #25 pick + Nick Collison + OKC First Rounder next year

OKC gets:
#2 pick

I don't speak for all Grizz fans obviously. The OKC deal does bring a great deal to the table. My stance (and one that's been repeated by the owner multiple times) is that the Grizz need stars. They need great players. IMO there are only two very apparent "star quality" players in this draft - Griffin and Rubio. Rubio brings a lot to the table - as I've been educated by the Grizz Spanish fan base. He also brings an already established relationship with one of the core players (Gasol). He also brings a game that would compliment Rudy's game immediately and has size that would compliment OJ in the backcourt. I just don't see the Grizz moving off of 2 in the same manner that the Clips won't move off of 1 unless they are blown away.

Not an offensive offer - especially in light of the "reports" that have the Grizz FO interested in Thabeet - gah, sorry - just threw up in my mouth...

That would be a deal that IMO the Grizz would have to seriously consider.

the kings would not do that! imo we have cap space to sign a pg(sessions) who is better than conley so we would not trade our young big for him. what do you think about #4, #23,#31 plus Thompson for #2 + filler?

I like the OKC deal if we move the pick.

BarbaGrizz... You are the first person that popped in my head while I was stuck at a house that was pissed that I forced them to watch the lottery and then proceeded to yell when the Grizz were not called at #6. Then I went crazy when we were not number 3!

THAT WOULD BE PERFECT!

You all who still dont like Conley are nuts. Jason Thompson for Conley would be perfect for both teams. Especially Memphis.

I think that would be a good trade a well. But with the recent developments about Rubio not wanting to go to Memphis, what will it take to get him from you guys? Would you prefer #4 and #23 strait up for #2, or would you want to go like Jaric/#2 for Exp/#4?

I don't see the 2 being moved for the 4 as a possibility at all. 3 could be a possibility due to Thabeet (gah!!!) still being on the board. But OKC takes him @3, and 4 is a significant drop off. That drop off can't be made up with a late first round pick. Marko's contract is bad, but the Grizz still have tons of caps space even with it on the books. The Kings just don't seem to be a good partner for the #2 pick.

Comparing Yi and Rubio is nonsense. Yi couldn't control where he wanted to play, while Rubio can simply go back to Spain and finish out his contract...or never come to the NBA at all.

We'll just have to wait and see then - and it's a very similar situation. Same agent, same (reported) demands. Yi could have opted to stay in China as well. If Rubio were simply content to stay in Spain, why even throw his name in the hat?

Yi was represented by the Chinese government, even though he had the same Agent. Yi also made it known that while he didn't want to play for the Bucks, he was still going to play in the NBA regardless. Rubio, meanwhile, has alot of options. Before the draft, he wasn't even going to consider entering unless A) he was a guaranteed top 3 pick (which will happen, no matter who picks him), B) he was starting from day 1, and C) he was playing in a major market. Yi never had any of these options, so the Bucks easily called his buff. And while Rubio may be content to stay in Spain, he could have still placed his name in the draft to see who was picking in the top 3 and if he was intersted in playing for any of those teams. If he's not, he can simply pull OUT of the draft and wait until 2010 or 2011 (when his contract expires, I believe).

hahahaha...tks, i guess.

Imagine my situation here: I open the realGM page and read that the Grizz got the #2. This is really the best news I got from NBA since I start follow the Grizz (2002-2003)!
