What do you guys think?

The Grizz finally gets their long term PF (rookie contract) to team up with Mayo and can get a future 1st.

No thanks. If you're interested in Conley, let us know.

I hope you were wearing a ski mask when you posted this trade proposal.

Why not?

You guys could have a very good core in the future. You can pick up a future wings like Lance Stephenson or Xavier Henry with 2 1st round picks next year.

PG Conley
SG Mayo
SF Stephenson
PF Beasley
C Gasol

Not a bad core.

The value is terrible. #2 and Beasley are in the same ballpark value-wise, and Gay is worth much more than "a (late) future 1st + 2 second round picks"

They'd have a great young core without your 'deal', in fact they'd have a better one.

PG Rubio
SG Mayo
SF Gay
PF ?
C Gasol

Trade Conley for someone like Jason Thompson and you have a MUCH better lineup than the one you posted. Take all draft picks out of it, and Memphis might have some interest. MAYBE they'd do the 2 for Beasley, but no way would they also throw in Gay. Rudy G is not a throw-in.

Why would the Heat want to trade their 2008 #2 pick, for this year's #2? It seems that the heat fans realize Beasley was highly overated. Beasley's a "tweener", not a Pf or a Sf. Plus he's a real knucklehead. :usa:

This trade is ridiculous. Beasley had bright spots, but hardly showed any promise of being an all-star. Gay for Beasley seems like an even trade. You *also* want Ricky Rubio, who has shown Stockton/Magic/Kidd/Paul-instincts as an extremely young prospect? And your deal sweetener is a future 1st?

Rubio
Wade
Gay
Haslem
O'Neal

LOL. That 2010 1st rounder is sure gonna be a good one. Memphis can't wait to get their hands on that 27th pick.

WOW, Beasley is definitely worth more than the #2 pick. He's definitely valued higher than Griffin, and unlike the two, he's actually SHOWN that he can play and that he's a future all-star. In fact, from a Heat perspective, I wouldn't touch this trade.

OMFG.

Beasley is better than the #2
Beasley is better than Gay.
Beasley is ahead of Griffin in most mock draft last year. Griffin advantage at this point is hype because he's listed #1 in most mock draft. Stas wise in college, they're not apart but I still think Beasley is more offensively gifted.

Trading for Beasley is like trading for the #1 pick this year.

The big question is, what if Rubio threaten not to come in Memphis and instead stay in Europe if Grizz draft him? Isn't it necessary to trade him?

With those questions, isn't it better to keep Conley and bypass Rubio at #2 or trade the #2?

BTW, I heard a story Miami has interest with Gay & Conley for Beasley last year.

If you are suggesting Beasley for Conley and Gay, well, yes, I would definately do that as a Grizzlies fan.

That was the rumored deal. Memphis wanted to move up to #2 last year and Miami asked for Conley and Gay.
