someone posted a rumor that sends rondo along with scal and giddens from the C's to memphis for rudy gay and mike conley

he didnt put any links and i can find it nowhere on any credible sites, all he said was that it was reported on a local tv station and was likely to happen

im skeptical of the deal, i was just wondering if anyone knew what local station had the story, was it from memphis?

have yall heard any thing like this?

It's completely false until I see a source. Plus, I can almost guarantee you that Memphis is not going to give up Heisley's golden boy (Gay) AND Hollins' butt buddy (Conley) in the same deal.

By the way, good God this deal is awful. Rondo is completely overrated and I bet Conley would do just as well as him with Garnett, Pierce, and Allen playing alongside him. What a joke. I would kick Heisley's ass if he made an idiotic deal like this.

We turned down Conley/Gay for Amare, why would we do this?

Rondo > Conley

Rondo > Gay

Rondo < Conley + Gay

Rondo < his hype.

Walking triple double and a better fit next to Juice than Conley. Fix that perimeter shooting and he'll be a 17, 7 and 9 caliber player.

It was full of bull. The so-call source was from Cali of all places. Why would a state that isn't a home to neither of these teams break news like this. It's all lies.

He is due for a big payday as well. Not sure why memphis would even consider a deal like this (if it was true) if they will have to turn around and pay rondo a hefty sum.

Believe me, this deal isn't being considered by the Grizz.

The Grizz would be foolish if they trade away the Most Improved Player of 2010.

The fact that I love this deal from Boston's perspective leads me to believe there isn't much truth to it. However, Chris Wallace is your GM so pretty much anything is on the table. It's not that I don't love Rondo, I do. It's just that as uga_dawgs24 said, Rondo wants a big pay day. IF and that's a huge IF, a deal like this goes down, Memphis will certainly turn around and sign Rondo to that extension. Also, JR Giddens is not a slouch. He definitely has some potential on both sides of the ball. However, if I were Memphis, I'd be asking for Bill Walker instead. Just thought you guys might like a Celtics' fan perspective.
