He's not the perfect fit. But 16 and 7 in 26 minutes is actual production we can use.
He might actually be the only PF that might be willing to take the Grizz's money.

That would be sweet if Memphis got that many UConn players. Rudy, Hasheem, Charlie and hopefully Jeff Adrien. They would do very good with that. Plus throw in OJ, Warrick, Gasol, Richardson, and Conley. That team would only need another PG and then they would be in contention.

All they'd need to do would be to follow up by signing Ben Gordon and Marcus Williams and BAM! You could see a lineup in the rotation of:
Marcus Williams
Ben Gordon
Rudy Gay
Charlie Villanueva
Hasheem Thabeet
Huskies South!
Meh...

Lee Doesn't want any part of MEM
Boozer won't come here.
Millsap is a possibility.
CV is an option.

That may well have changed - he was quoted as saying that it was his agent that positioned things that way. His agent is also DeMarre Carroll's agent. We promised and delivered on Carroll - this may well change the position (along with $10+ million a year) Lee has.
Boozer won't come here.
Then why was his agent (reportedly) whispering to the Grizz FO that Memphis is in the mix?
Millsap is a possibility.
Far less likely now that we'd be gunning against OKC and the Prestinator.
CV is an option.
On this we agree.

Hate to blow the hype up imaginations of others, but this plan sounds eerily similar to Michael Jordan's plan back to his Wizards GM days. At the time, he sought out former TarHeels to play on his squad just cause he played at UNC. Under his tenure he had Jerry Stackhouse, Hubert Davis, Brendan Haywood, Eric Montross, plus himself as former TarHeels on the roster. Basically, let try not to go overboard with completing the roster with players from the same school no matter if they were good or not. Just try to find the best player(s) who can be reliable for the Grizzlies to count on.
