So what would you think hondaaccord is fair compensation to give up one of your two best players like Rudy Gay? One of the other teams two best in return? Portland's two best are Roy and Alderidge. You pick.

You had the worst team in the conference, your players are not that good. Gay is a nice player but he would be the number 3 option on one of the last years conference finalists

Aldridge makes no sense anyway, you guys have Z-Bo now. And we all know how cheap your owner is so how about:

Rudy Fernandez ,Nicolas Batum and future first/second for Gay. These are 2 highly productive rookies who started or played key roles on our team with 3 years remaining on their cheap contracts. Gay could be gone after next year, or will cost a lot.

I was going to jokingly post something along the lines of two or three of Portland's spare parts for Gay, but it looks like you beat me to it.... making a joke of a trade proposal. You're a quick trigger.

You come to the Grizz forum. You ask a question. You don't like the answer. You act like a dillweed.

Yes because our starting SF and leading 3 point shooter (nba record for rookie) are spare parts... You guys are delusional...

+1

Picture if a grizz fan go to your board to say:

"What do you guys want for roy+aldrige? Blazzers lost to the rockets in the first round so i can offer Randolph+jaric and a second round"

I believe Juan Carlos Navarro held that 3 point record for a rookie prior (and the Grizz still have his rights) so I'd assume you'd want to trade one of your core players for him right? Because, OMG, he held the 3 point record for a rookie! But if you don't want to, then you must be delusional.

BTW, Aldridge and Roy would also be the #3 option in Lakers and the #4 option if the Rockets had Yao and T-Mac healthy, so, what this mean? Nothing.

Ps.: I would love to have Rudy here, but not if it costs Gay. Maybe a Gasol + Jaric + Buckner´s expiring + DA for Rudy + Joel?

Roy'd be the 1st option for every team on this tiny planet, except LAL And CLE.

and BOS, MIA, NO, ATL, DAL. Still, he'd be the first option on a lot of teams. He's not the 3rd best player in the league though - you need to stop smokin' Darius' left overs ;)

Hmm, I think Roy would be an #1 scoring option on BOS, NO, and ATL. I think(which means personal opinion) he is a better scorer than pierce. He's not better than CP3, but paul would definately make sure Roy averages more points than him. And for Atlanta, he's just simply better than everyone on that team.

&& you're right Roy's not the 3rd best player in the league, but he is the 3rd best SG without question. Until mayo proves otherwise =).

&& to the OP, take it from me, coming the grizzilies board, asking about Gay is not a good idea, unless you're offering one of your 2 best players.

Why would Portland want Gay? He is a blackhole. He is athletic and can score, but is lazy on defense and does not pass the ball. Rudy has talent but he is a mental midget and may never put it all together. Portland needs to upgrade their PG situation, not add a chucker.

Well since the contract negotiations for Brandon Roy haven't gone as planned, I propose a trade like this:

Memphis receives: Brandon Roy
Portland receives: Darrell Arthur, Sam Young, Lakers 2010 first round pick and an undisclosed amount of BBQ ribs.

Thoughts?
