The Grizzlies should sign Jason Williams. He could help this ball club out with his experience. Memphis could have a pretty good team with Gay, Mayo, Randolph, Gasol, Conley and Thabeet.

Although a J-Will return to the M-town would be a welcome treat, why would he come back here instead of trying out for a playoff team?

^^ Yet the Knicks move to set negotiation rights on J-Will to get something going. Sounds like the Knicks are anticipating losing Nate Robinson for keeps.

The Knicks would be a great fit for him.... Wherever he ends up, I would like to see him reunitied with a certain athletic free agent power forward he played with for many years in Memphis...

Hey Stro4!

I'd also love, along with the two players in my avatar pic, to see the return of a certain hot-headed and incredibly competitive shooting guard, who was recently banished to China. He was also a teammate of Jason Williams. Both players in my avatar pic supported him when he was banned from the arena during the playoff series vs Phoenix by wearing his number on their armbands, and all three ended up leaving Memphis after that series...

Getting these three would make the Griz instantly competitive and would create a link with the 'glory days' of the franchise. I think that Fratello is easily forgotten, but the fun we had with watching that group of players won't be as easily forgotten.

do you think the grizzlies of 08/09 could win 1 game in 7 game series with the Fratello Griz team from that Phoenix series?

Yes, if only because of Fratello's horrible mismanagement of the team. They weren't playing with a whole lot of togetherness. Fratello's team was more talented, but there were a few key players that either weren't playing at all, or were in and out of the lineup.

Fratello's team lost 9 of their last 10, including the playoff sweep... the team was so poorly managed and the players so disgruntled that the core of the team was blown up in the biggest trade ever, if I'm not mistaken.

Jwill is good... But not that good

Sarcasm aside i just hope he helps the Grizz one way or another if he does sign. He mature with Memphis and it's nice too if he can his career here as well.

Word around town is that the decision is in his hands. If he wants the gig with the Grizz it's his. He's just waiting to see if there are any serious, better offers from playoff caliber teams out there.

I honestly don't think they'll be a bottom dweller again this season. Should be plenty to cheer for.
