Memphis Offers Deal To Mike Taylor

The Memphis Grizzlies have offered point guard Mike Taylor a contract following his workout with the team on Thursday, sources tell RealGM's Alex Kennedy.

If he signs, which I see no reason why he doesn't considering his lack of interest on the market, this would be one of the few good moves Memphis has made all summer. I'll take Mike Taylor over Marcus Williams every day of the week.

This move sounds like another training camp move to keep the competition interesting between Williams and Taylor. Especially towards Williams to really test his motivation and confidence. If Taylor make it past TC, he won't be expected to pull much time unless injuries happen to occur.

Not exactly sold on it, because there's better players out there. But Taylor is OK. He's a 15th man in the NBA, really, but he's a decent scorer.

I'll take Mike Taylor over Marcus Williams every day of the week.

Unfortunately for you, considering that most of Williams' contract is guaranteed, you're very unlikely to get that wish.

Just asking,could this be a signing to make a trade with the Rockets?I don't think the Grizzlies will keep Mike Taylor or other players that were signed these last few weeks. Lets not forget the A.I. contract is still out there(I Guess)

All I know is that I want Mike Taylor to get minutes on someone's team, because he has hops like no one else and is fun to watch play. Decent scorer, too. Hope he signs with you guys.

This Alex Kennedy guy isn't legit.

I've asked my guy who's a reliable source and said that Memphis still is waiting on A.I and if it fails, Luther Head and Flip Murray are priorities.

I'm a fan of Taylor's, this is a good signing. You guys should just stick with him and not sign AI.
