This one two punch will be watch closely to see what may become of it. The better question is with AI at 34. How much steam does he have left. I'm concern that the Grizz may overdo it with AI on minutes since they have a young backcourt on the roster.

and don't forget Marcus "laptop" Williams.....
As for Mike Taylor, I was in favor of him at first-a swarmer on D, and I had watched some late-night league pass games with him on the Clips last year, and I thought that his reasonable slash ability and his D might be worth it...
...but watching him make an unholy mess of the offense and just fly around like a hurricane on D during the preseason made me sour on him pretty quickly and pretty extremely....
...stay away from the buffet line Marcus W....

Re: Grizzlies waive Taylor
I am quite unhappy with this decision.
Unfortunately I really did not get to watch much Taylor in the 2 preseason games I attended. He played almost no minutes.
Even if he made mistakes in preseason - I don't see how in the hell that could drop his stock below some of the other pseudo-NBA players we have on our roster. I valued Taylor soemwhere around our 7th or 8th best player. Certainly not anywhere close to 15th!!!!!
I think it is a big problem with this organization. We either don't recognize talent or don't know how to utilize it.
Javaris Crittenton is 5 times the player of Marcus Williams and probably better than Mike Conley TODAY in my opinion. I will never forgive them for how he was misused on this team. I am afraid this is one more example of a poorly run franchise. YET I swear I am very optimistic for this season and not at all bitter!

More like a part - not necessarily a big part. And he did end up netting the Grizz back a first round pick that they had committed to Washington when the Grizz acquired Juan Carlos Navarro.

Although JCN held his own with the Grizz for a minute, the trade for him was really unneccessary considering that Pau was traded off a few months later after JCN was traded here.

I thought JCN was terrible. All he could contribute was offense, and even that was extremely inconsistent. With him on the team, Iavaroni chose to go small, with Rudy at the PF and Stromile Swift's minutes being cut back dramatically. Navarro's ppg wasn't even any better than what Stromile Swift has done in the past with similar playing time, and Swift provided a lot more defense.
