It's been a minute since I've seen NJC. It's one of those movies you never get tired of watching. It's just that good. I liked Ice T's character b/c he knew what it was like to grow up rough and hard then on stop of that he tried to help Pookie get clean from drugs and it work for a while til the UCs, put Pookie into their operations and you know the rest.
As for Three 6, wish I could get down to see them and the game, but I will still be working by the time the game starts. Really sux.

I'd be surprised if Memphis didn't win this.

Right now the Grizz are down 53-41 @ the half.
Rudy Gay leading the Grizz in scoring with 11pts. Marc Gasol has the team high 7rebs in the game so far. On the Pistons side, both Rip and Ben Gordon combine for 32pts. Again, the defense against the Pistons perimeter isn't good. The have to do a better job locking down Ben Gordon in the second half if they wish to win this game. Also, slow down Rip in the process.
Also, Mayo needs to get going offensively and can someone tell the Grizz bench that the game has started over an hour ago. Get in the game!

http://www.nba.com/games/20091028/DETMEM/gameinfo.htmlThe Grizzlies still failed to clamp down on Rip and Gordon defensively to force the Pistons offense to stall. OJ struggled to get going tonight as well going 2-12 from the field and was in foul trouble as well. TOs were high as well(14). Free throws are still a struggle(20-31). At least they got to the line, but they have to knock them down when it counts. Also another issue was lack of better bench production. Unfortunately AI was out for tonight so it didn't help matters for the Grizz.

Mike Conley with three points and three assists in 32 minutes. Obviously needs to bounce back in a big away vs. Toronto, especially with AI coming back.

Why on earth would you think that? Keep counting the Pistons out, your boys look pretty bad thus far.
Good game Memphis.

1. kwame brown
2. ben wallace
3. cahrlie v.
pretty terrible. but clearly that advantage was nothing to us as stucky, rip, and gordon slaughtered our back court. the announcers said before game these are 2 teams going in different directions. you guys are just starting to rebuild and we are allegedly coming out of rebuilding and hoping to rise from the ashes. we been terrible for 3 years and you guys have slowly gone from Eastern Conference favorites to BARELY making 8th seed last year and playing Dleaguers ahead of hall of famers. also no reputable coach is interesting in coaching either team. So we thought we had a good shot and most people have written the Pistons off. (hopefully they're wrong and Memphis just isn't THAT bad).

You have some young talent but that's meaningless in this league as so many teams with lots of young lottery talent never make a playoff run before it starts to get away.
Detroit on the other hand, had a horrible year last season and the team quit on head coach Michael Curry and they still managed to make the playoffs and will be a .500+ win team again this year.
Detroit has already been "rebuilt".... changing out the old Billups/Dice for a young all-star talent in Ben Gordon and underrated PF in CV.
Add in young guards Stuckey and Bynum along with the veteran with Championship experience in Wallace, Prince, and Rip and this team is going to be tough for the non elite teams to beat.

UGLY opener for the Grizz . . . maybe it's just the new alternate jerseys fault.
