The Grizz tried their best to keep up with the Nuggets in this one, but missed opportunities and crucial mistakes like missed FTs, fouls, and TOs' cost them the game. It's bak to the drawing board for them to come correct on these mistakes in order not to repeat them in the next game if possible.

How did Marcus Williams make the poll over Thabeet? He had 4 blocks and 6 boards (2 offensive) in 12 minutes. He seemed to play a key role in establishing some good momentum for the Griz that helped keep them in the game.

Mayo seemed to quietly score his 40 points.. maybe it's just because I didn't watch the first half... He only had 2 free throw attempts. Looking at his career stats, he only 3.4 attempts per game, which is fewer than Stromile Swift averaged in a couple of his seasons with far fewer touches per game than Mayo is getting. Mayo's playing style seems almost unorthodox in that he doesn't get to the line much.

Totally agree - but also the reason why I think he's quite the gem, he NEEDS to get his touches and shots - the man can flat out score - he's come in the league as the best shooter of all the "swingman" stars in recent memory...no star swingman in the league today had quite the outside pedigree Mayo has had in their first 2 years
