Keys to the Game

1.Wake up and play defense.

Note to add.

Pau Gasol has yet to play this season due to his right hamstring injury which makes him doubtful for this match. Also, Andrew Bynam is doubtful do to the injury to his right elbow he received while playing against the Rockets on Wednesday night. Still doesn't mean the Grizz get away scot free. Still got Kobe, Fish, Mr. Kardashian, and good ole Artest to make hell on the defensive end.

I am speaking from a theoretical standpoint when I say this, but the matchups of Lakers and Grizz in this game are not that daunting. OJ can play Kobe pretty much 1:1on scoring so I am not worried there. The only real advantage is Artest over Rudy Gay - however Artest is still getting his legs on this team. But tonight could be a night where he punishes us!

Also their bench has been nonexistent up to this point. I could see them taking it to us in this one. We are known to play no defense on the 3 so Sasha could hurt us and so will Shannon Brown. Also Jordan Farmar likes to destroy our team and outplay Conley and Lowry. Certainly that could be ugly. But the starting 5 we have the advantage I think by a comfortable margin.

I don't doubt we take a small lead into halftime but won't be surprised to see it erased and spanked by double digits at end of regulation.

I do hope that things start coming together for Grizz tonight and we can eek a win. I hope Iverson takes Los Angeles as his showcase for the big comeback. Can he alone score over 50 points and bring us 2 wins this weekend at Staple Center between tonight and tomorrow night?

i hope Iverson gets 30mins at least.id rahter see him scoring 30 than gay. its not about the winning, its about the joy. i dont think we are winning this one, so why dont to give the ball to AI? license to shot for him. I expect Gasol2.0 for a 15-15rebs again.

it was typed...do you root against the gizz for the fact that they brought in someone(iverson)you didn't agree with?

Man, what's up with Mike Conley? Looking like the Conley before the 2009 All-Star break.

imo conley is just being a little to tentative right now and when he does that he takes himself out the game.i just think that he would serve the team better if he were more assertive.

I don't know if "root against" is the right term per say, but I'm very weary of the moves they made over the summer (Hasheem Thabeet, Zach Randolph and Allen Iverson).

I knew Thabeet was going to be a project, so there's not much I can say about him up to this point. Not a fan of Randolph at all because of his past, but he's been good thus far. Iverson? Never been a fan of him and his latest complaints don't change my view of him.

The only thing that gives me hope for the present and future is O.J. Mayo and Marc Gasol.

If dribbling the ball aimlessly going from sideline to sideline while the shot clock runs down were a stat, he'd be top five in the league easily.

All that dribbling sounds like something from the book of Carlos Arroyo.

how did iverson only get 22 mins tonight but on wednesday 27 mins. plus the coach hasn't even talked to iverson yet about this whole situation. conley and mayo are overrated too. the talent is there but they just don't have good basketball IQs. even though the grizz would probably still lose at least with iverson starting the game would be a little more competitive. i'm giving this coach one more week to pull this roster together before i give up on this team.
