Grizzlies shoule win this game. They should be too deep for Philly.
Good PG play will be needed so that everyone gets going and over powers Philly.

not really feeling the iggy-mayo match-up in favor for the grizz

Iggy is their best player by far so it's ok if he beats Mayo. We don't have Hakim Warrick anymore so we can't count on his 30+ points in this one in his hometown. And no Lowry so it's just hopeful that Rudy suits up as a strong rival from Baltimore. He has to outplay Thaddeus and make him shoot difficult jumpers only. Then of course Gasol and ZBO must go to work and create an advantage rebounding and points n da paint.
I'd see victory and yell "GO GRIZZLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Iggy and Thad are two of my favorite non Grizz players. I always enjoy the Philly match up. It'll be interesting to see Z'Bo and Marc match up against Brand and Sam D.

With Philly, we match up with them very well b/c the game score manage to stay close. For some reason though we can never get a win over them. It has gone on for the last three seasons. It would be good to get our first road win of the season against them.

It would be nice if the PG situation becomes more apparent about who should be getting 30 minutes a game.
This game may reveal the need for a SG to come off the bench behind Mayo.

yes his name is Sam Young
I think his confidence is increased and he began the season with an injury, though it was not enough to make him sit out any games. He had started every game in college four consecutive years I was told. But I definitely miss a guy like Mike Miller that is 6'8" with range anywhere inside the gym at SG off the bench....

^^^ Agree.
This team is missing a Mike Miller type player who can spread out the offense with his long range shooting ability. Something that will keep the defenses friendly. If the Grizz can go after such a player, who would be the best fit?

If the game reveals a need for SG off the bench, are you saying they don't need a SG off the bench or are you saying they have one?
Young doesn't look like a 3 point shooter and maker. Currently the roster only has 2 three point shooters. Mayo and Gay.
If Gay or Mayo gets injured or in foul trouble the team is down to one three point shooter/floor speader. Zach and Marc will suffer. Even with Mayo and Gay in play and if Young improves they could use another defense stretcher today/this season.

actually Mike Conley had the highest 3 pt percentage
last season. so I view him as the best with 42% last season! certainly better than Gay. but we know Conley is not the same this season....
we have such a bad bench but it's designed that way. Sam Young is the man at SG. we have to live with that. currently OJ and Rudy both shoot 35% at three and conley has 32% but OJ has shot twice as many as the other 2. Farmer has a career average of 40% - sign him!

who is Desmon Farmer?
I agree about the bench, it could use some back court help at the SG.
Looking at the Grizzlies 3pt %, they could use another 3 point shooter/maker.
Desmon Farmer played at USC for Henry Bibby. He played in Europe and the D-league.
He plays defense and makes 3's at very nice rate.

Morrow and Almond would be good players to get for the Grizz. Unfortunately it would take some key players to get Mike Miller back in the Beale Street Blue.

Wow, that primo brezec is really bad. he has missed three shots beside the rim in a row.
Gasol is doing pretty well, he is going to get another Player of the game!!! Marcus williams is doing great, i like his game a lot.
